Irschenberg: Accident on the A8 Salzburg-Munich involving four cars – three injured
On September 12, at around 11:15 a.m., a traffic accident involving four vehicles occurred on the A8 near Irschenberg.
The message in full:
Irschenberg – One 71-year-old woman from Oberaudorf was driving her Suzuki in the middle lane in the direction of Munich. She had to brake her car to a standstill due to traffic. The one driving behind 57-year-old Austrian with his Suzuki could not brake yet.
Behind drove in 27-year-old Austrian with his Ford. He could no longer avoid a collision and easily rearranged. Finally one came 41-year-old from Plauen with their Audi. She recognized the situation too late and pushed all vehicles onto each other.
16,000 euros damage and three injured
The total damage amounts to around 16,000 euros. Only the Audi was no longer roadworthy. Three people experienced cervical spine syndrome and complained of neck pain. They were taken to nearby hospitals as a precaution.
For recording the accident and salvaging the vehicles Two lanes closed for about an hour. The backlog was sometimes ten kilometers long. The Irschenberg volunteer fire brigade and the Holzkirchen motorway maintenance department were on duty.
