Natters was the focus of the Tirol Liga in Round 8 and it’s not hard to guess why. At the FC Koch Doors Natters war of FC Wacker Innsbruck guest and the 1000 viewer limit was scratched again. Natters celebrates a football festival – even with a three against Wacker Innsbruck. Only one team has managed that so far and Wacker seemed to have started a run. But Natters slows down FC Wacker with a 2-0 win. At 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 11th, 2022, the big hit will follow between Prutz/Serfaus and Völs. Prutz/Serfaus could move up to third place in the table with a win, Völs could underpin their lead in the table with a threesome.
Obesity and top chances
Thomas Löffler, coach FC Koch doors Natters: “Almost 1000 spectators and fans – a real football festival. It’s really great how everyone helped to get this game over the stage so tremendously today. Absolutely gorgeous! The start of the party was also fantastic. After two minutes we were able to take the lead through Alexander Plattner. In the first half we had two or three top chances. Of course, Wacker had more time in the game, but in my opinion there were fewer compelling opportunities. Wacker had even more play in the second half, but we also found our way into the second 45 minutes. Wacker is physically stronger, but that’s not surprising. Our goalie made a great save – that was of course very important in some scenes. The 2:0 in the 79th minute by Christoph Hackl. From my point of view a deserved victory, if you look at the possibilities, we had the upper hand!”
Two inattentions
Akif Güclü, coach FC Wacker Innsbruck: “We were absolutely aware that it would be very difficult on this difficult and narrow course. We also tried to convey that to the players. But shortly after the kick-off, Natters took the lead. That woke us up. A great chance for Selim Ajkic in a 1-1 duel – but Natters remains in the lead. Two headers from standards – that’s how it goes at the break with 0:1. Like ran two half-time. Natters plays on the counter, another top chance for us – but Natters scores to make it 2-0. If you fail to convert six or seven top chances away, then you lose. We briefed the team all week, but two inattentions made the difference. If we had made it 1-1, the game would certainly have gone differently. Unfortunately lost – we have to do better in the next game!”
