If a Slovak buys a bottle or can of a drink in the neighboring Czech Republic, he may find the symbol “Z” on the label. At the same time, he will receive 15 cents for a depositable bottle from abroad in Slovakian vending machines without any problems, despite the fact that he did not previously pay it to the merchant in the retail price.
