The 13th edition of Rockestra held
The 13th edition of Rockestra and the first one that was held outdoors at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali saw the organizers salute the memory of Queen Elizabeth II and commemorate the World Cancer Prevention Day -Suicide, a government statement read.
The President of Malta George Vella said that he is “impressed by the enthusiasm and energy of the artists and the crowd present at this high caliber event organized with so much dedication and professionalism. The President said that Rockestra brought back the people of Malta. together through music while all those who attended did their duty to help the Malta Community Chest Fund continue to help those in need.”
The Artistic Director of Rockestra, Paul Borg Bonaci, and the Music Director, Mr. Sigmund Mifsud, said that they are very satisfied that the event was sold out and that those present “took an active part in the concert with the theme ‘I love Rock’n. ‘Roll’ with the participation of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and a range of Maltese singers and musicians.” Bonaci and Mifsud said that they were also surprised by the response of the people to the after-party, something new that was inspired by -comments of some of the people who attended past editions.
President George Vella thanked all the artists and volunteers involved in making this event so successful while encouraging the public to continue taking part in the activities that will take place in the coming weeks to raise more funds for -Malta Community Chest Fund.
