No Interview with MiM Party on 2G Vote – Liechtenstein
VADUZ – When a referendum is due, Volksblatt.li tries to sound out the representatives of the pro and con camps with critical questions in an interview. Unfortunately, this was not possible for us in the expected vote on the 2G law.
In the run-up to the referendum on the 2G law on September 18th, Volksblatt.li wanted to conduct an interview with Health Minister Manuel Frick and a representative of the MiM party in order to get to the bottom of the arguments of both sides and, above all, the associated intention .
The interview with Health Minister Frick is this Saturday on page 5 of the print edition of the “Volksblatt” and published on Volksblatt.li.
The MiM party, on the other hand, rejected a corresponding interview request from Volksblatt.li on August 18, 2022. “Due to time constraints, it is currently hardly possible for us to hold another interview appointment,” wrote the MiM.
On the other hand, the MiM party preferred to answer interview questions in writing, which we subsequently rejected because it would not have been possible for us to legitimately question arguments and resolve contradictions. It can therefore not be assumed that a written interview with the MiM party would have provided our readers with additional knowledge.
After the interview was canceled by the MiM party, we took up individual topics that would have been discussed in detail in a personal interview with the MiM party in a separate article.
A notice: In order to be able to classify the voting result afterwards, the online survey of the Liechtenstein Institute is already running. You can take part in the anonymous survey here.
