Motocross: 9 young riders will represent Portugal in the Coupe de l’Avenir – MotoSport

Portugal will have a selection in the Coupe de l’Avenir for the sixth consecutive year.
The 50th edition of this competition takes place in Quievrain on days 1 and october 2. It presents being close to a hundred pilots from more than 10 nationalities different and aged did not exceed 21 years.
The pilots are divided into three classes (65, 85 and Open), each with an individual and country ranking. In the Open class, it is the mandatory for one of the pilots to conduct a 125cc 2T motorcycle.
From the long list of winners in the competition Jeffrey Herlings, Stefan Everts or Dave Thorpewhich only proves that this event is a “showcase” for young talents who want to assert themselves in European Motocross.
Portugal achieved in 2016 is at 2019 one 3rd position in class 85, the best results from national centers in this competition to this day.
