Bolzano – During the “Euregio Mobility Action Day 2022”, holders of a local transport subscription or a family pass can use public transport and visit museums free of charge. The Euregio offices open their doors.
From Kufstein via Bozen to Borghetto: the second Euregio Mobility Day will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2022. All holders of an annual or half-year ticket for local public transport or the Euregio family pass can discover the European region of Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino free of charge. This Euregio Mobility Day takes place every two years. On the occasion of the European Mobility Week this year, those who take part will receive free admission to selected museums within one of the entire Euregio, in addition to the program in the three Euregio offices in Trento, Bolzano and Innsbruck.
Free travel by public transport
In addition to public transport, passengers can use the Ritten, Kohlern, Vöran, Mölten, Meransen and Rittner Schalspurbahn cable cars in South Tyrol as well as the Trento-Sardagna cable car connection in Trentino as a special experience for the whole family free of charge.
Information on the timetable can be found online: for South Tyrol with train connections to Innsbruck and Lienz at www.suedtirolmobil.info/de, for Tyrol with train connections to South Tyrol at www.vvt.at and for Trentino at www.trentinotrasporti.it. Long-distance trains such as Railjet, Eurocity (EC), Intercity trains (IC) and Frecciargento as well as ÖBB bicycle trains between Lienz and San Candido are excluded from the campaign.
Program of visits to Euregio offices
There are also other offers on the Euregio Museum Day: The Euregio offices in Bolzano, Trento and Innsbruck have put together a varied program in German and Italian for visitors of all ages: From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., members of the respective visitors will accompany them Euregio teams are interested in the program.
Free to the museum
For the first time, selected museums in all three regions are also opening their doors with admission prices: in South Tyrol these are the Archeology Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Eccel Kreuzer Museum (special exhibition only). In Trentino, the Museum of Science MUSE in Trento and five castles grant free admission: Buonconsiglio Castle, Stenico Castle, Beseno Castle, Thun Castle and Caldes Castle, in Tyrol the Ferdinandeum, the Folk Art Museum, the Hofkirche, the Arsenal and the Tyrol Panorama are involved with Kaiserjägermuseum on the Euregio Mobility Day.
