Adriana Karembeu in Avignon for World First Aid Day
Learning simple gesturesaccessible to all and at all ages to save one of your parents, your child, a passer-by, a friend who is sick, has a stroke, who has a car accident, who is knocked down on the road…
It doesn’t just happen to others, everyone is concerned!
only 40% of French people are trained in first aid. France is very behind other European countries, but things are progressing and more and more of us are learning these gestures and having the right reflexes.

The Red Cross, a family story for Adriana
My mother was a doctor, my grandmother was a nurse …and we were always talking about the Red Cross at home. I grew up with these Red Cross teams, I learned a lot of things. I better understood my role, my contribution and little by little I found my place.
Adriana Karembeu has been involved with the Red Cross for over 20 years.
It was the Red Cross that came to get me in 1999. They asked me to take part in the campaign against anti-personnel mines. They came to talk to me about a campaign on lifesaving gestures. They thought of me because I studied medicine
Find Adriana and the volunteers of the French Red Cross this Saturday from 2 p.m. on the Place du Palais des Papes in Avignon.

After focusing on initiations for children last year, World First Aid Day 2022 is for everyone because there is no age to train. This learning is accessible to all and it is important to do it throughout life.
This year, the French Red Cross invites everyone, young and old, around the theme “Learning lifesaving gestures”.
This Saturday, September 10, train for free everywhere in France! Click here to find out about the appropriate actions throughout the territory.
