After serious fraud with the cryptocurrency Bitcoins, Salzburg investigators have identified a suspicious Turk. This is already being sought in Germany with European arrest warrants. Most recently, according to the police, he attracted more than 80,000 euros from a woman from Salzburg.
The 53-year-old Turk is said to have lured this large sum of money from the 63-year-old with false promises of prizes. The man first contacted the victim by phone in April, investigators say.
He is said to have faked a yield of 300,000 to one million euros in the course of a competition. To do this, however, they would have to make insurance payments in the form of Bitcoin vouchers, according to the alleged fraudster.

In order to urge the woman to do more, the suspect also posed as a detective, according to the police.

Salzburg investigators found out that the accused tried to disguise his identity with 64 different email addresses, 313 user names and 257 telephone numbers on crypto platforms.
