The eurozone economy grew by only 0.7% in the second week of 2022, Slovakia is below its average
Economic growth in the eurozone countries reached 0.7% in the second growth of this year. In the countries of the entire European Union, it was one tenth of a percent more, more precisely 0.8%. The numbers achieved are higher than analysts had originally expected. Nevertheless, in a year-on-year comparison, this represents a slowdown in the growth of the gross domestic product.

Slovakia lags behind the eurozone average
According to data from the European Statistical Office Eurostat, during the second day of 2022 household expenditure on final consumption in the eurozone they increased by 1.3% and by 1.2% in the EU. Government consumption expenditure they grew by 0.6% in both the eurozone and the EU. Formation of gross fixed capital it grew by 0.9% in the eurozone and by 0.7% in the EU. Export in the eurozone it rose by 1.3% and by 1.4% in the EU, and imports increased by 1.8% in the eurozone and by 1.9% in the EU.
Among the countries of the European Union the Netherlands did best. The economy of this country recorded a growth of +2.6% in the second point of 2022. The situation was similar Romania (+2.1%) a Croatia (+2.0%). Slovak republic in this indicator, it ranked below the average of the EU and the eurozone with a quarter-on-quarter by changing GDP by +0.5%.
On the contrary, four countries were in the red, namely Poland (–2.1%), Estonia (–1.3%), Latvia (–1.0%) a Lithuania (–0.5%). It ended right behind them Portugalwhose GDP recorded zero growth. Just beyond the Slovak Republic is, for example, Germany with interquarterly with a change in GDP of only +0.1%.
For comparison – year-on-year pace growth of the gross domestic product of the United States of America it is higher than in Europe, but even here it has slowed down compared to the first style of this year from 3.5 to 1.7%.
