How is the bomber different in Portugal – Observer
This summer I chose Spain to be part of my vacation. The main criterion was financial. Even in accommodation there is a huge difference in price between Portugal and Spain. As always, going to the neighboring country, I did the calculation for the fuel I would need to arrive in order to fill up as soon as I cross the border! We arrived at the pump and immediately heard “But the price here is the same as in Portugal!” And at that moment, instinctively respond: “It’s taxes”!
There was proof that everything that was said over the years about the price of Fuels was a lie! Production costs in Portugal are not higher, nor are distribution costs. Gasoline margins are not higher, and the price difference doesn’t come from that either. It’s not about the scale of the market, or about geography! It has nothing to do with any of that.
The price difference only existed for one reason: higher taxes! An extraordinary tax on the really perfect! The tax burden on top of the withdraws, and the newest charge that is practiced by all products our brotherspump prices become more visible!
The only reason that the price of food in Portugal is one of the most recognized in the EU is the level of taxes! And as strange as they are, the same is true of other things. Is that why accommodation is cheaper too? Could it be that the prices of environmental goods are why, despite the higher prices of our neighbors, they are so similar? And the prices of clothes, shoes, glasses, bags also have the appearance of our products considered more sincere than ours and the weight they have on the final price of the products.
I’ve been going to Spain for years and I’ve been saying the same thing for many years. People look lighter, happier, less. I’m not referring to friendliness or hospitality, but to the way the average Spaniard feels! And I have a theory, which is more and more a certainty! None of those people carry the burden of working a whole day and still not having enough money to make a living…
It is not surprising that the “gas pump box in Spain” is in a good mood. When he leaves work at the end of the day, he has money to live on! The “box” of the Portuguese gas pump has only money to survive!
Spain is no example of a liberal market. When also with an “old” Europe, it also has the highest tax burdens, the most inefficient states and the lowest middle income. It is in the middle of the list of the oldest members of the European Union… Portugal, in turn, who arrived more recently, who have had less time of democratic economy and, at least, who have received less funds to develop.
Portugal should at this point contribute to the EU, and is still hand-drawn now alongside countries that are still arriving! There are many reasons for this, but I have no doubt that the main one is called socialism!
