Health in Portugal? “Who can, pays. Who can’t, bear it”
RIcardo Leite, deputy for PSD Batista, considered it “regrettable” that the Executive had vetoed the urgent hearing of Marta Temido, the outgoing Health Minister, requested by the Liberal Initiative.
During the debate on the increase in the cost of living, the deputy accused the Government of lying and of having “a serious problem with the truth”.
“The Government lied to all the Portuguese that it was unable to identify the medical board”, by Batista Leite, also adding the chaos with regard to obstetrics, maternity and all the problems that led Temido to resign.
“Who can, pays. Who can’t put up with months or years on waiting lists”, stressed the representative, advising on the escape of professionals, unable to guide or hold the SNS.
Regarding the minister’s government, the social democrat accuses the government of having the courage to change the faulty policies that the PSD will do everything to free the Portuguese from this fall relatively incapable of changing.
