Attack in Munich
50 years ago, the murder of powerful athletes during the Munich Olympics shook the world. In the six-part Sky crime series “Munich Games” history is repeated today.
Story: A computer game appears on the internet in which Jews are shot in the Munich Olympic Stadium. The stadium, the surroundings, everything is very detailed. Did the programmer have insider knowledge? The policewoman Maria Köhler (Seyneb Saleh, 34) and the Mossad agent Oren (Yousef Sweid, 46) should prevent the announced and worse: Because a significant football team is on the way to Munich for a memorial game …
Professional director Philipp Kadelbach (47, “Our Mothers, Our Fathers”) pulls out all the stops to provide the six times 45-minute film with as much drama and excitement as possible.
Not only do the officials “on the ground” hardly dare to cross the path. Constant banter about responsibility and cooperation from politics and higher officials ensure the best entertainment television.
Screenwriter Michal Aviram (44) was celebrated for her work on “Fauda”. “Munich Games” also follows its constantly stressed heroes in quickly hopeless situations. The coming Monday evenings have become much more exciting for Sky customers.
Conclusion: A crime series that is far too rarely filmed in Germany. Director Philipp Kadelbach and his team have created a gripping six-part terrorism series.
