Gaißau-Hintersee: No assets for bankruptcy proceedings
Business
According to the liquidator, there are not enough funds to cover the costs of the bankruptcy proceedings for the Gaißau-Hintersee mountain railways (Tennengau/Flachgau). Mass sufficiency was therefore reported to the court on Tuesday. This is “mass poverty”.
The Credit Protection Association of 1870 reports that the mountain railways do not have sufficient assets to offset the costs of the proceedings. An insolvency estate is reported when the debtor’s realizable property is not available to settle the estate claims arising during the proceeding.
Demands: Outstanding bills, leases and wages
On September 2nd, the third bankruptcy proceedings against the Gaißau-Hintersee mountain railways were opened at the Salzburg regional court. According to the Credit Protection Association of 1870, around 85 creditors are affected by the recent bankruptcy. The claims against the lift company amount to around 1.2 million euros – among other things, these are open invoices, unpaid leases and outstanding wages for employees from the winter.
Second case not opened for similar reasons
A second bankruptcy procedure in this connection over the Eibl-Holding-Gesellschaft has not yet been opened for similar reasons. The only asset held by the holding company is its 100 percent share in Gaißauer Bergbahnen. It was not yet clear to the court how much this participation is actually worth.
