Energy, natural gas emergency plan adopted
In light of the increase in energy prices, the Congress of State of San Marino has decided to adopt an “Emergency plan for natural gas” by adjusting “the alert and emergency levels of the gas system” of the Titan to those ” from the Italian system on which San Marino depends in an infrastructural way as points of contact “. In detail, it is explained in a note from the same Congress, “an Emergency Committee has been set up which will be composed of figures with specific skills” who will be entrusted with the task of maintaining relations with the Italian Emergency counterpart, of monitoring with attention to the situation of natural gas supply and to negotiate communication protocol and coordination mechanisms, cooperation between states and mutual alert “. In particular, it is emphasized in the plan that “for each level of crisis in the Italian system, which correspond to levels of security for the continuity of the Republic of San Marino, the extraordinary measures that San Marino can adopt are compatible and can be implemented in the territory in coordination with the measures activated in Italy “. “I have the hope that the Emergency Plan must never serve – observes the Secretary of State for Labor, Teodoro Lonfernini in the note – but we must look carefully at what happens outside our borders to avoid any critical issues”. In recalling the citizens of San Marino to a responsible use of gas, the Secretary of State highlights how this use “will also be sanctioned in specific protocols of conduct that may be useful for the supply system; protocols that will be coordinated, by competence, together with the Secretariat of State for Business “.
