Weather: Paris and Île-de-France on yellow vigilance for thunderstorms this Tuesday

This Tuesday, September 6, 2022, Météo France places 17 departments in France on orange vigilance for a risk of thunderstorms. For their part, Paris and the whole of Île-de-France are on yellow alert. We take stock of the situation.
Will the thunder rumble Paris this Tuesday, September 6, 2022 ? According to the hopes of Meteo France, It’s possible. While the entire Ile-de-France region was on orange alert to storms yesterday, Meteo France alert on a new risk of severe thunderstorms who could hit this tuesday Parisbut also the whole of Ile de France (Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne and Val-d’Oise).
This September 6, the entire Ile-de-France region is therefore placed in yellow alertness to thunderstorms. According to the weather service, thunderstorms could affect Paris and the rest of Île-de-France this Tuesday between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. Note that this bulletin is valid until September 7 at 6am.
Otherwise, 17 departments of the hexagon are in orange thunderstorm alert : from Yonne to Doubs, via Haute-Loire, Gard and Hérault.

During these periods of bad weather, Meteo France recommends to watch out for thunderstorms, synonymous with danger. here are some recommendations to follow as a precaution:
- movement limiter,
- do not go out with an umbrella,
- take shelter under a building,
- avoid touching electrical wires on the ground,
- stay away from posts, railings, trees and waterways,
- by car, avoid wooded areas.
