Weather alert Genoa and Liguria Wednesday 7 September 2022: times, forecasts and areas
Genoa – After a break followed by thunderstorm passage on Saturday, instability returns to appear at the gates of the Liguria. Arpal has therefore issued a new one yellow weather alert for thunderstorms on central sector and Po Valley slopes of the region (zone B, D and E: along the coast from Spotorno to Camogli including, Val Polcevera and Alta Val Bisagno; Valle Stura and the Savona hinterland up to Val Bormida; Valle Scrivia, Val d’Aveto and Val Trebbia). The weather art is in place from 6 to 15 on Wednesday 7 September 2022. In the hours, one Atlantic Depression it will slowly scratch the anticyclonic promontory that has been affecting us for a few days, piloting some more unstable nuclei over northern Italy. The scenario appears to be characterized by extreme preventive uncertaintydue to the formation of a small minimum depression on the Ligurian Sea, whose position and trajectory will determine the triggering and subsequent evolution of the temporal structures.
Among the possible forecasting scenarios, the most insidious foreshadows training, in Wednesday morning 7 Septemberof temporal structures on the gulf of genoathat will tend to move to the north mainly affecting the central coastal sector of the region (zone B). Possible involvement of the Po areas, in the eastern part of zone D (Valle Stura and the Savona hinterland up to Val Bormida), and in the western part of the zone E (Val d’Aveto, Valle Scrivia and Val Trebbia). For the Regional west a low probability of strong thunderstorms is predicted, particularly in the eastern sector of the zone A (I cover the coast from Ventimiglia to Noli, the entire province of Imperia, the Centa valley). Strong isolated phenomena can also occur in the Regional Levant (zone C, province of La Spezia).
Since this is a forecast, it is not excluded, however, that the “core” most intense of the phenomena remains confined to the sea or, in lapping the coastal strip, reduce its power. Thunderstorms may be strong or organized, accompanied by gusts of wind, intense electrical activity and local hailstorms. Precipitation will continue until the early afternoon.
