Schäpper fourth at the World Drone Cup – Liechtenstein
SAMSUN – Marvin Schäpper finished fourth at the World Drone Cup 2022 in Samsun, Turkey.
At the race with the top 32 best pilots in the world, Schäpper arrived a day later for professional reasons and missed a training day. So he went straight into the qualifying rounds, which he finished with a solid 4th place. In the main race he prevailed against his competitors and was able to secure one of the four places in the decisive final run.
In an exciting final, based on the “chase the ace” system, Schäpper asserted himself well. As expected, the winner was Min Chan Kim from Korea, who currently dominates the drone racing scene. However, Schäpper was still able to stand up to him and score valuable winner points. In the final ranking, however, he had to settle for 4th place against Kim, Chang-Hyeon Kang (Korea) and Killian Rousseau (France) due to a points decision.
Once again the Schellenberger has proven his top form and confirmed that he is one of the best drone racing pilots in the world. At the end of October he will be able to compete with the other top pilots again this year at the MultiGP championship in Florida.
