Salzburg is looking forward to a big running festival
“A great field of participants for the 15th anniversary of this event – and this after the pandemic-related restrictions of the past two years. You couldn’t wish for a nicer gift,” says WKS President KommR Peter Buchmüller to the address of the organizer Personal Fitness.
The participants have three routes to choose from in the old town of Salzburg: on the one hand, the classic business run distance of around 5.9 kilometers and the more demanding Q-Trail route over 11 kilometers and 400 meters in altitude. On the other hand, the classic route can also be contested in Nordic Walking.
Entrepreneur Rating
In the entrepreneur evaluation introduced on the initiative of the WKS, entrepreneurs, authorized signatories and managing directors have the opportunity to experience the sporting challenge of the Salzburg business run in a team together with their employees or business partners. Here, too, the number of participants is increasing from year to year. This year’s edition of the WKS will also be starting with top representatives. The entrepreneur and district office chairwoman of the Pongau Elke Steinbacher will be there for the first time. “I’m really looking forward to my first start at the Salzburg business run and hopefully I’ll be able to enjoy the running route in the heart of Salzburg with all its beauties.”
getting there
Even today there is the possibility of free arrival and departure with the Salzburger Verkehrsverbund from the entire province of Salzburg. The offer is valid on the day of the event, September 15, from 9 a.m. until the end of operations. The ticket is available for download on the event’s homepage at www.salzburger-businesslauf.at/anreise.
Race number pickup
The bib number collection will take place on Wednesday, September 14, between 9 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. in the Audi showroom at Vogelweiderstrasse 69. On the day of the race itself, the start numbers can also be picked up from 3 p.m. at Gabi’s race office on Residenzplatz.
Entry to the event site is exclusively via the bag depot at the New Residence. As before, the start and finish are at Residenzplatz. The starting procedure has been slightly modified – several starts in groups of around 300 runners are planned in order to even out the field of participants.
Celebrations in the establishments of the old town gastronomy
As in 2021, there is no large tent at Kapitelplatz, but free drinks for all finishers from the time they cross the finish line to the award ceremony – while stocks last. No participant or company needs drink vouchers for the first AfterRunParty at Residenzplatz, these are included in the entry fee. Then it goes with its own company in the Salzburg city and old town gastronomy. A list of gastro partners can be found at www.salzburger-businesslauf.at/gastropartner/
