Salzburg angry! DAZN blocks the CL fans – football
Salzburg crashes into Milan, Haaland makes the CL debut for City, David Alaba started the title defense mission. DAZN customers are threatening to prevent this.
Excitement before the first game day!
The Champions League started the group stage on Tuesday evening with big treats. Rights holder DAZN has big problems in the German-speaking area.
Many customers cannot log in. The early games Dortmund against Copenhagen and Dinamo Zagreb against Chelsea are already in progress (kick-off 6:45 p.m.) when the screens on “Netflix des Sports” remain black. “Error when registering” pops up, even when trying to do it yourself in the “Today”-Sports department.
The official account “DAZN HELP DE” tweeted: “A couple of you seem to be having problems logging in at the moment. We’re getting to the bottom of this. If you are affected, please try restarting your device first or look on an alternative device (e.g. SmartTV, laptop, smartphone, tablet, etc.).”
Many customers and football fans are not reassured by this. Numerous users write angry testimonials, trembling before the evening games kick off. Salzburg’s hit against Milan starts at 9 p.m., Erling Haaland’s city debut in the premier class in Seville, Celtic against Real Madrid with David Alaba, PSG against Juve – and there’s no shortage of crackers.
In Austria, DAZN shares the rights with the pay-TV broadcaster Sky. Both show all games live. In addition, ServusTV shows a game on FreeTV every Wednesday. In Germany, the Champions League can only be seen on streaming providers.
By the way: With an annual subscription, DAZN customers have been paying 24.99 euros a month since the summer, otherwise 29.99 euros a month.
