Freeway to San Marino, work on the state border and two boxes for speed cameras will arrive
Citizens and law enforcement agencies have reported on several occasions the need for intervention to make the last stretch of the expressway safe, specifically the stretch that precedes the state border, one of the most dangerous in the San Marino part of the Rimini-San Marino . The works will begin on Tuesday (6 September), by the Autonomous State Company for Public Works for the safety of the first 150 meters of road section, from the State Border to the intersection with the access to Piazza Enriquez in the area Meeting of the Workers.
Specifically, the vehicular crossing at Via Samartani will be closed, according to the second pedestrian crossing currently existing and for the two that will remain open, at Piazza Tini and Piazza eliminatoriquez, preparation for the installation of pedestrian traffic lights will be provided for a call. The current guardrail will be replaced with a latest generation Corten steel guardrail equipped with integrated LED lighting (in necessary components of the central lampposts that are not current in accordance with the law as in case of impact not the safety deformation of the guardrail) and will be installed box provided for speed cameras for speed control, one for each direction of travel. The safety of the road section will be completed by a new pavement of the same with an asphalt with high mechanical and smoothing resistance.
