Dorint opens restaurant “Le Bistrot99” in the Dorint Hotel at Heumarkt Cologne: day ticket
Dorint multiplies its “Le Bistrot99” concept. Another restaurant has now been opened under the brand name in the Dorint Hotel am Heumarkt, behind which is Heike Iserlohe, the wife of Dorint boss Dirk Iserlohe. Stars and celebrities from Cologne, friends and regular customers came to the official opening of “Le Bistrot99” last week.
Among the guests were comedian and Dorint brand ambassador Ingolf Lück, composer and musician Helmut Zerlett and TV chef Mario Kotaska. The team, led by General Manager Marko Markovic, gave a first taste of the future menu, which features many French cuisine classics, including Alsatian tarte flambée with chanterelles, boeuf bourguignon with triplets and scallops with mashed potatoes and cheese and saffron.
For a long time, Heike Iserlohe has toyed with the idea of opening a second typically Parisian bistrot – according to her pilot project in the west of Cologne. And preferably in the heart of Cologne. In the course of the modernization of the Dorint Hotel on Heumarkt, the entrepreneur created the opportunity to create a Parisian ambience on the ground floor of the hotel together with Dorint architect Joachim Troyke.
“We want to convey the lifestyle of the city on the Seine to all guests who are looking for a French bistro atmosphere in Cologne city center with our mixture of art, culture and cuisine”, Heike Iserlohe details her idea of the desired meeting place for Francophile joie de vivreists, connoisseurs and Gourmet. “Now you can leave everyday life behind in the heart of the cathedral city in a casual atmosphere with charming service, French specialties and interesting conversations, in short: enjoy with all your senses,” says the artist and entrepreneur about her concept.
As a painter, Heike Iserlohe often visited Paris and learned to love the inspiration that emanates from the city on the Seine in the countless cafés and bistros. There she met writers, philosophers, artists and actors. With them she experienced the culture of enjoyment, relaxation and communication that only exists in the French capital. “Here you get to know each other, you discuss, exchange ideas with good food, wine and music,” Heike Iserlohe recalls enthusiastically.
“I’m happy when neighbors, friends, artists and hotel guests meet here to enjoy classic French cuisine with a glass of Crémant or tempting wine between selected works of art – with music that puts you in a good mood,” says General Manager Marko Markovic.
