The Gryfyn Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera with 101,140 spectators over the three days a Misano World Circuit. They are partial: 18,859 on Friday, 25,300 on Saturday and 56,981 on Sunday.
The media value is impressive. There were 110 countries in the world on television with the Land of the Knights with images broadcast by the 19 accredited broadcasters on the circuit together with a press room sold out with 240 between journalists, photographers and television operators from twenty countries, including from Japan and Brazil.

A HELMET GUITAR AND A STRING QUARTET FOR THE HYMN
An electric guitar in the shape of a helmet and a string quartet: it is the unprecedented ensemble that performed the anthems of San Marino and Italy before the start of the MotoGP race, in the presence of the Most Excellent Captains Regent of the Republic of San Marino Oscar Mina and Paolo Rondelli. A special tribute for Andrea Dovizioso was reserved during the gala dinner on Saturday evening on the terrace of the Pit Building. The rider from Romagna received from the hands of the regional tourism councilor Andrea Corsini the award that Emilia – Romagna, together with promoters, Motor Valley and Riders’ Land, wanted to give him as ambassador of the “Land of Motors”.
VIP PART IN THE PADDOCK
Even today there was no shortage of well-known faces from sport and the world of entertainment, starting with the comedian Fabio De Luigi, who was entertained with the promoters. Together with the authorities is also seen Davide Cassani, former coach of the Italian national cycling team and president of Apt Servizi Emilia – Romagna.
Among the VIPs of the entertainment world we also mention the actor Matteo Martani, the entrepreneur Tomaso Trussardi, the singer and actor Fabio Rovazzi and the comedian Max Angioni.
Among the well-known personalities of the world of sport, the former cyclist Mario Cipollini, the Olympic gymnast Carlotta Ferlito.
Comedian Giuseppe Giacobazzi and motorcycling champion Marc Marquez were also present, as he greeted Andrea Dovizioso on the grid before his last race in his career.
MOTOGP 2022 EDITION IN THE SIGN OF CELEBRATIONS FOR THE 50TH OF MWC: A PRECIOUS PUBLICATION, A SPECIAL HELMET AND THE PHILATELIC CANCELLATION
During the weekend of the Gryfyn Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera, some important elements were added to the initiatives for the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Misano World Circuit. On Friday the book 50 years of racing 1972-2022 was presented, which traces the first half century of activity, in collaboration with Giorgio Nada Editore.
The volume, edited by Marco Montemaggi, saw the collaboration of Marco Masetti, Sergio Remondino, Luigi Rivola and Alberto Gimmelli.

The book, published by Giorgio Nada Editore Libreria, will be distributed in Italy by Giunti Spa automatic books and, as well as on the websites www.giorrgionadaeditore.it and www.libreriadellautomobile.it, it will be available on all online sales platforms, at dell ‘Automobile in Milan (c.so Venezia 45) and at all Giunti al Punto bookstores in Italy.
Added to the book is a special helmet for the 50th anniversary of the circuit, made by Arai, which will be marketed in a limited edition. The graphics bear the signature of the designer Aldo Drudi.
The # mwc50shots contest also came to an end over the weekend, leading to the selection of the fiftieth photo to be added to the photographic exhibition inaugurated on the occasion of the Superbike. The winner of the competition, which saw more than 250 images published on Instagram dedicated to the experience of fans on the circuit, is Valerio Alessi, 40-year-old worker from Savignano sul Rubicone, guest today at Misano World Circuit.
A philatelic cancellation is also dedicated to the 50th anniversary of MWC, available today in preview in a post office set up in Tribuna C area and, in the next 60 days, at the Riccione post office in via Corridoni.
AEFFE GROUP AND ALDO DRUDI SIGN THE HOSTESS ‘DRESSES
Fashion and motors, two great Italian excellences recognized worldwide, can merge and give life to unique projects. Proof of this is the wonderful dress worn by the hostesses in the paddock and on the terrace, born from an intuition of Aldo Drudi and from the collaboration between Misano World Circuit and Gruppo AEFFE, which created it. The graphics, conceived by Drudi himself, are a clear reference to the 2022 poster, which met with great success, and is part of the communication plan of the Gryfyn Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera.
TUESDAY I TRY THE MOTOGP
One day off and immediately on the track. On Tuesday and Wednesday the MotoGP will have two days of testing, with the fantastic confirmation of Marc Marquez’s return to the track. The opening hours to the public: from 9.00 to 18.00. Tickets for the C stand are available at the ticket offices of the circuit. Children 0-12 years pay one euro.
RIDE TO FIM AWARDS: THE CHAMPIONS IN DECEMBER IN RIMINI
In Misano, the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM), in collaboration with the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI), launched the “Ride to FIM Awards – the Future of Motorcycling” project, a path of four events that started over the weekend and will lead to the celebration of the Motorcycling World Champions, the FIM Awards, scheduled for December 3 in Rimini.
