UEFA requests additional financial information from Barcelona, Seville and Betis
UEFA requested additional financial information from 19 clubs that can meet the balance requirement due to the emergency measures adopted in the face of the pandemic or by historical balance results, among which are the Spanish Barcelona, seville and betis.
After analyzing the years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, The First Chamber of the UEFA Club Financial Control Committee (CFCB) approved a series of agreements that include that request for additional information from those 19 clubswhom it will “closely monitor in the next period,” as announced by the agency.

The CFCB registered the clubs that as of the 2023 financial year, exceptional deductions for covid-19 will no longer be possible, nor will the consideration of historical financial results.
“The aim is of course for the overall financial situation of the clubs to comply with the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Sustainability Regulations – 2022 Edition in the coming years,” unspecified.
The CFCB considered the case of Porto (POR), since the club had slightly breached the principal of its settlement agreementfor which he imposed a fine of 100,000 euros and helped his exclusion from the competition for which he qualifies in the next three seasons, “unless the overall result of the club in the years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 adjusts to the break-even requirement.
The AEK of Athens can leave the liquidation regime by having fulfilled the conditions imposed by the CFCB within the established deadlinesMeanwhile he lilac (FRA) and the Basaksehir (TUR) will have to adopt sporting measures as they only partially meet the objectives set for the 2021/22 season.
Both conditional measures provided for in their settlement agreements will be applied to them in the current 2022/23 season in relation to the limitation of the number of players that a club can register in List A and the restrictions of newly signed players.
