Merihaa’s zoning principles are drawn up in interaction with the residents
The pop-up events in September are part of the preparatory work that forms the basis for the design principles of the entire Merihaa area. At the events, alternative development opportunities for Merihaa are mapped together with local residents and operators in the area.
Based on this interaction, Merihaa’s planning principles guide the development and planning of the area. The design principles emphasize, among other things, the characteristic features of the area, the objects to be preserved and other factors that guide the development work. The draft of the design principles is publicly available and can be returned at the beginning of 2023.
After the zoning principles have been completed, the landowner can apply for zoning changes that enable construction, demolition, development of park or yard areas, change of purpose of use, or development or change of another area. As part of the process, individual plan changes can also be influenced.
