Eric Bailly’s ambitions with Marseille
Established for the first time with Olympique de Marseille against Clermont Foot in the French Ligue 1 (1-0), Eric Bailly reassured in defense. The Ivorian central defender returned to his arrival at the Marseille club as well as his ambitions for the new season.
Asked to give his opinion on the new Marseille recruits, Eric Bailly said: “Of course with new faces, good players, I think we have to have this warrior mentality all the time to fight. And I think that with the workforce, we will do something.
Bailly wants to win trophies with OM
The defender on loan from Manchester United underlined the role played by Igor Tudor in his signing with the Phocaeans: “Well, as I pointed out, I first had the coach before arriving. He told me about his ambitions and everything. So for me I had already taken some information before arriving. So when I arrived, it wasn’t as complicated,” he added.
The Elephant is thinking big for the current season: “The ambition is to play game by game and win as many points as possible and why not win trophies with OM”, he concluded.
Co-leader with PSG and Lens (13 points), OM travel to Auxerre this Saturday at 3 p.m. GMT as part of the 6th day of the French Ligue 1.
