But there is more to read in this issue. Starting with a study commissioned by the communication agency specializing in the tourism and travel sector, Travel Lifestyle Network (TLN). The study reveals that, after two years of a pandemic and the beginning of a war in Europe, the desire to travel is not enough.
Portugal, or rather, the Portuguese indicate well and show interest to the desire of, with the results that are above the global media. The study concludes that cost-effectiveness, now and in the future, is the main factor in choosing a holiday destination, with a reasonable price adjustment in a future option of increasing and increasing the prices of a holiday destination.
The “dossier” of this edition is dedicated to Rural Tourism. During the pandemic, and Portugal was no exception, the demand for national and international tourists was more focused on rural and nature tourism, in inland and low-density territories. Does this trend continue–, today the world has almost all reopened for tourism? It is a bit of this answer that we want to give, with the opinion of several actors directly linked to rural and nature tourism.
In the “dossier” we also have interviews with the president of Casas Açorianas – Associação de Turismo em Espaço Rural, Gilberto Vieira, as well as with Sara Duarte, president of the Portuguese Association of Tourism in Rural and Natural Spaces (APTERN).
Publituris also visited the Peneda-Gerês National Park. The combination of the green of the forest, the blue of the water, the gastronomy and the sound of tranquility are still there, are the magic potion to regain strength and completely disconnect from the hustle and bustle of big cities.
In “Transportes” we present the ariBaltic strategy. Satisfied with the performance of the route between Riga and Lisbon, which has been in existence since 2018, airBaltic decided to maintain, this summer, flights connecting Portugal and Latvia twice a week, the result of which, the airline indicates to Puburis, in being positive, a since the Portuguese capital is a destination that appeals to tourists from the Baltic States.
In addition to the Pulse Report, a partnership between Publituris and Guesten to publish data published in Portugal, the opinions of the independent August edition of Publituri belong to Jaime Quesado (economist), Sílvia Dias (Savoy Signature), João Caldeira Heitor (ISG), Joaquim Robalo de Almeida (ARAC), and António Paquete (economist).
Happy holidays, best wishes. We’re back in September!
