Vaucluse: find out which monument has been selected for the Loto du Patrimoine

On Monday August 29, 2022, the Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak and Stéphane Bern launched the 5th edition of the Loto du Patrimoine. This year again, 100 sites in danger will be able to be renovated in part thanks to this operation. In the Vaucluse, it is the house of King René in Avignon which requires major work to perpetuate its preservation.

A super jackpot of 13 million
Part of the funding for its restoration will therefore come from the Heritage Loto, set up by the Heritage Foundation and the Française des Jeux. The principle is simple: the FDJ will organize, between September 5 and September 17, 6 LOTO® Mission Patrimoine draws. For €2.20, each participant can try to win the jackpot of at least €2 million. Friday, September 16, a super jackpot of 13 million euros will be brought into play.
The House of King René, built in the 14th centurywas the property of the Duke of Anjou from 1476 to 1480 before becoming a cardinal, then the palace of King René, before being transformed into an Ursuline convent in the 17th century and finally, a printing press until the end of the 19th century.
