Hypoianer surprisingly changes sides.: A few quiet heartbeats, silent remembrance of Fritz Neuhauser -29. 11. 1952 – † 27.8. 2022
Eit’s not that long ago
that’s where I met him. As always, wide-eyed, head bowed, gesturing with his hands, he told me: About the fact that he is now working on belts, yes, belts for traditional costumes and such. And how happy he is with it. As always optimistic and living in his – for many it may be “small world”. The news that this is no longer so – saddened. I still remember him – as a busy employee at Hypo Druckerei – or as the “man for all cases”. Often – often beaten below value. In 1989 he joined Hypo. Fritz, actually Friedrich, was someone who had his (often very own!) opinion on many things and also said them. Nevertheless, he was not a “loud person”. Eager to learn and away from the mainstream, he was a swimmer against the tide even when the Hypo Tirol Bank was founded. Never underwater. Personally, I’ve always enjoyed talking to him. Exactly, he had an opinion and gave it to customers. He took his time for a little chatter. With all. “Uncle Fritz” is what we often said to him, even back then.
what we understand.
“Boating” was – at least back then, his passion. “Just don’t let them go under!” is his credo. That he was married, actually we, but not much more than that. Too bad. He was seldom at a loss for sayings, you can still read about it in the Bank’s Legendary Hypo Book for the 100th – His explanation of the dice key words asked: “Strong as a wave”, “As long as you move, you live!”, “It’s easier to wave from top to bottom”, “A lot of small things also make something big”, “Small gifts keep friendship” and “A good family is always a role model”. No nonsense, but profound thoughts on the questions asked about life at the time. Brought together more than some banking philosophy.
Fritz lived that too.
I like to remember him as a positive, life-affirming person. I will miss the chance encounters with him. Above all – those big eyes piercing the other person, this spirited enthusiasm and the typical bending over in conversation, slightly tilted forward – all this made one feel something of great human affection. In the Hypo book, his “activity” is succinctly just “transport”.
Dear Fritz!
May your boat take you safely to the other side. And rest assured: “You cannot be submerged! – Farewell!”
