Grand Prix of San Marino and Riviera, tomorrow the first free practice
With the pilots’ first press conferences and events being staged in the morning, the Gryfyn Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera is ready to go live. There is already a lot of excitement at Misano World Circuit, where from tomorrow the track will speak with the first tests of MotoGp, Moto 2 and Moto3 and the qualifications of the Finetwork FIM JuniorGP ™ World Championship, which could crown its winner at Misano .
THE RIDE TO FIM AWARDS PROJECT HAS STARTED FROM MWC
Forty-four young talents from the Italian national selection, from the Italian Junior Speed Championship and from the FIM Europe Women’s European Cup took part, this morning, in the first stage of “Ride to FIM Awards: the future of motorcycling“. The International Motorcycle Federation (FIM), in collaboration with the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI), has launched the path of four events that will lead to the celebration of the World Motorcycle Champions, the FIM Awards, scheduled for December 3 in Rimini.
At the center of the workshop are some important issues for building the professionalism of the pilots of the future. There was talk of communication skills both in the media and in one’s work environment.

THE FIRST COURSE FOR SPORT MOTORCYCLING TECHNICIANS AT MWC
PRESENTED TODAY ‘SPORT & ELECTRIC BIKE’
The ITS Mechanical Foundation of the Emilia-Romagna region presented today “Sports and electric motorcycle”, in collaboration with Misano World Circuit, FMI – Italian Motorcycle Federation and local companies. Furthermore, with the fundamental support of Confindustria Romagna and its training institution Assoform, the Foundation will manage the educational organization in agreement with ITS MAKER.
This is the first in Italy dedicated to sport motorcycling, which will be headquartered on the Misano World Circuit. Departure in two months and registrations are open until October 14 on the site www.itsmaker.it
Most of the course will be held in the spaces of the circuit. During the MotoGP weekend there is an information box set up by Garage 51, which young people interested can visit in person and where they can receive information about the training course that, like all ITS Maker courses, includes two years of training with 2,000 hours of lessons, of which 40% internships in the company, with teachers from companies and the world of motorcycling.
The Ducati rider and test driver spoke at the presentation Michele Pirrotestimonial of the project.
“We are really proud of this new course – ha underlined Giuseppe Boschini, ITS Maker operational director -, because it is the first in Italy of this kind and above all because important companies in the sector, institutions and prestigious realities such as Misano World Circuit, the FMI and Garage 51, support us in this adventure ”.
“The ITS project, Higher Technical Institutes, are integrated into the development path that involves operators from Romagna – adds Andrea Albani, CEO of MWC – and has the aim of protecting and increasing the motoring heritage made up of trainers, manufacturers, teams, pilots and sports facilities. The initiative involves schools and businesses in a systemic way. It is easy for the participants to present immediate employment and thus we will make the professional path of a fundamental component in the teams structural ”.
GREEN CIRCUIT OF MISANO: SUSTAINABILITY AND DEVELOPMENT GO TOGETHER
The Misano Green Circuit continues, the program that characterizes all the Simoncelli initiatives in the name of sustainability. After the ISO 2021 certification achieved last May, the only motorsport facility in Italy accredited by TÜV SÜD as a standard for the certification of the sustainable event management system, the achievement of the certification by the FIA was added in July. ‘3 STARS’ it recognizes to MWC the highest level of environmental accreditation which involves not only the structures and the quality of the services offered, but also the behavior of the public and teams.
All this takes place in the daily life of the events, in addition to the structural activities concerning the strengthening of the ecological islands, the photovoltaic system for the production of renewable energy, etc.
A significant factor are the recharging areas for electric vehicles which on Saturday morning (11.00 MWC Square) will have a further extension with the inauguration of a new station built by Atlante, a NHOA Group company. The Atlante charging infrastructure will be accessible all year round and can be identified on the main electric mobility service apps.
The new MWC branded brick for water distribution also debuts over the weekend. It is a container made of 76% renewable raw materials which guarantees a reduced environmental impact and greater sustainability The old plastic bottles are therefore replaced and over 50,000 new bricks will contain the water for sale in the refreshment points
The partnership between MWC and the Pope John XXIII Association in numerous ambitious ones is solid and of great importance. One of these, in collaboration with the catering company Summertrade and the sports teams, concerns the recovery of food surpluses. A specially organized team takes care of the collection, storage and distribution to the local communities of what is recovered. From May to today, over 1,000 meals are guaranteed.
The solidarity pit walk has been confirmed – today at 5.30 pm – with the guests of the local communities who will walk the pit lane meeting the teams for an experience that every year proves to be exciting.
MOTOGP OF MISANO FANZONE
Tomorrow first for a big news of the weekend: Misano MotoGP Fanzone. At Prato 1 a large stage will be set up which will host the animation of the Red Bull deejays and the prize-giving of MWC merchandising until Saturday, from 12.00 to 18.30, then to follow the pilots in contact with the public. All the public present at the racetrack in the two days will be able to converge for free at the MotoGP Fanzone del Prato 1 from 16:00.

THE EVENTS OF TOMORROW

The book recounts the circuit’s first 50 years of activity, from when, on 6 August 1972, a handful of local entrepreneurs encouraged by Enzo Ferrari started the then Autodromo Santamonica.
Many motorsport characters will participate and two of them will symbolize this legendary one: Loris Capirossi and Franco Uncini. In addition to the curator, Marco Montemaggi, he presents the members of the scientific committee composed of Marco Masetti, Sergio Remondino, Luigi Rivola and Davide Bagnaresi. Stefano Nada and Leonardo Acerbi will speak on behalf of the publishing house. Also present Maurizio Damerini and Umberto Trevi, historical figures of the circuit.
All guests will be from Luca Colaiacovo, President of Santa Monica with the entire Board of Directors and Andrea Albani, CEO of Misano World Circuit.

A Rimini the Red Bull Free Style Show which at 11.00 pm on the seafront will offer a show of freestyle motocross and exciting backflips. There are also official showbikes with which to take photographs. A DJ will accompany the evening playing from the Red Bull Volvo Sugga event car.

A Coriano greetings to all the participants in the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix with the extraordinary lighting of the flame dedicated to Marco Simoncelli. The flame that comes out of the “Every Sunday” installation, donated by Dainese, generally lights up every Sunday for 58 seconds, at sunset (in solar time) and an hour later (in summer time). For the occasion, the flame will light up tomorrow, Friday 2 September, at 19.00.
