A group of young people found four abandoned kittens at the edge of the forest near Schöngumprechting (municipality of Seekirchen am Wallersee, Salzburg).
The first few days old kittens screamed for their lives with their eyes still closed and were quickly packed up by hand and taken to the nearby animal shelter Pfotenhilfe, where the night service immediately took care of them.

“Fortunately, the quadruplets shouldn’t have been lying there for long, they wouldn’t have survived the night in any case,” says PFOTENHILFE boss Johanna Stadler angrily. “You have to imagine it: Someone violates the castration obligation, although he doesn’t want any offspring and is agonizingly starving. I really hope the perpetrator is caught and convicted.”
