Earthquake in Liechtenstein – magnitude up to 4.1
The earth shook in Liechtenstein on Thursday afternoon. The Swiss Seismological Service reports a magnitude of up to 3.9 on the Richter scale, which is open-ended.
There were two earthquakes in Liechtenstein on Thursday afternoon just before 2 p.m. A first tremor measured 2.1 on the Richter scale, and a second tremor measured 3.9. The epicenter is near Vaduz. According to the Vorarlberg state government, the tremors were also felt in the neighboring town of Feldkirch.
Of the Baden-Württemberg State Earthquake Service put the quake at a magnitude of 4.1. Accordingly, the quake was actually around 30 kilometers from the epicenter, i.e. also near Lake Constance.

Liechtenstein media show on Twitter and YouTube that, at the time of the double earthquake, a debate on earthquake insurance was going on in the Liechtenstein Parliament. The meeting was adjourned due to further tremors.
No personal injury or damage to property has been reported to the principality’s state police.
