Ciavatta “San Marino-Italy agreement for new anti-Covid vaccines”
ROME (ITALPRESS) – “We have signed a new protocol for the supply to the Republic of San Marino, through the Italian Republic, of the latest generation Covid vaccines developed and approved just yesterday by the FDA. This will guarantee us as a country to have the supplies at the same time they arrive in Italy, therefore to be up to date with all the safeguards and useful tools to face a possible new wave “. This was stated by Roberto Ciavatta, Secretary of State for Health and Social Security of the Republic of San Marino, in an interview with Italpress, commenting on the signing of the protocol which took place this morning in Rome with the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza.
“The attention remains constantly high, despite the fact that our pandemic monitoring bodies have always remained active, the fact that in the summer period there has been a progressive and constant improvement in conditions. The hope and the wish that we make ourselves – he continued – is that a possible new wave, which will most likely arrive, can be treated as an endemic disease and may not require massive and radical interventions such as those that unfortunately we have been accustomed to having to live for two years “.
“The bet is that if we can treat the new pandemic wave like a flu wave, or something more, a good service will surely be done. We are helped by tools such as the latest generation vaccine, the drugs approved against Covid in these two and a half years and, we all hope, that the new ones that seem less serious and aggressive can allow us to spend an autumn and a winter normal ”, said Ciavatta again.
Almost a year after the referendum on the legalization of voluntary termination of pregnancy, San Marino approved the abortion law and Undersecretary Ciavatta explained that San Marino healthcare “is called upon to fulfill a series of obligations because we must establish the entire internal organization that then it makes this practice possible. It is a historic page, I must say that the referendum that was held a year ago was also historic because it saw a positive vote, a yes victory with over 77%, therefore an expectation of citizenship that we managed to comply within 12 months. Now we expect the whole phase of technical organization within the health sector that we will do in an extremely short time because we need to ensure that this right can be exercised “.
