Giuseppe Baratta is the new general manager of the Municipality of Verona, a strategic figure for the institution and for its effective and efficient management. The assignment, entrusted through the public selection, was assigned today with a resolution of the council to Dr. Baratta, in the Municipality since 1985 and for which he has held various managerial positions. The choice was made by the mayor after the evaluation by the technical commission of the curricula arrived.
Baratta, a 64-year-old law graduate, will support the mayor and the council in the implementation of the guidelines and objectives established by the governing bodies, pursuing the optimal level in the management of the body.

Graduated in law in 1982, Baratta has been in service at the Municipality of Verona since September 1985. Over the years he has held various positions, gaining experience in various ambitions of intervention: from the secretariat of the Municipal Council (position always held from 1985 to today) , to General Affairs, a sector responsible for the management of transversal activities, implemented over time. In recent years he has closely followed innovative policies, such as the implementation of Subsidiarity and the care of common goods, the role of the Guarantor of the rights of persons deprived of personal freedom, the issues of restorative justice and the protection of victims of crime. . Deputy Secretary General since 2003, he has an in-depth knowledge of the functions and of the municipal structure, acquired also thanks to the roles exercised in contact with the Municipal Council, which allowed him a complete vision of the institution’s policies.
