A8/Munich/Salzburg: Radler (62) drives up and down the A8/A99 – and makes the wrong driver
On Tuesday (August 30) around 11:45 p.m., several motorists reported cyclists on the A8 autobahn, who were first driving in the direction of Stuttgart and later on the same lane back in the direction of Munich.
The police report in the wording:
A8/Munich – Several police patrols from the Munich police and the Fürstenfeldbruck traffic police were initially without findings. About 20 minutes later, the Munich police operations center again received several calls that a cyclist was in the Aubinger Tunnel A99 both in the direction of Salzburg and as wrong-way drivers towards Dachau.
Ultimately, the cyclist could picked up at the Freiham junction will. At the check made the 62-year-old resident in Munich a heavily intoxicated impression. When getting off the bike, he lost his balance and fell against a guardrail. A voluntary breath alcohol test gave a value of 1.4 per mil. In an initial survey, he stated that he wanted to drive from Zielstattstrasse in Munich to an address in Freimann.
The 62-year-old was released from police custody after completing the processing and taking a blood sample at the Institute for Forensic Medicine. He is now being investigated for endangering road traffic, driving against the direction of travel and endangering road traffic as a result of alcohol. The Munich police have taken over the further investigations.
