Marcelo defends “fairer and more egalitarian Portugal” on the Day of Afro-descendants
Thus, the Internet Nations noted on the official page on Marcelo Rebelo that it joined to “mark the International Day of People of African Descent, saluting people of descent among us and all those still subject to racism and racial discrimination”.
“May this day remind us of the importance of coming together for a fairer, more egalitarian Portugal for all”, defends the Portuguese head of state.
Also today, the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, recalled today that “millions of people of African descent are present to racism and racial discrimination, deeply rooted and systemic”.
