MotoE 2022: the ranking before the San Marino GP
The riders of the MotoE World Cup arrive at the San Marino GP, the last round of the MotoE 2022, after having already disputed ten races in the five rounds that have taken place in Jerez, Le Mans, Mugello, Assen and Spielberg. Dominique Aegerter leads the standings ahead of Eric Granado and Matteo Ferrari. The last two races of 2022 are scheduled for the weekend, at the Misano circuit.
For the fifth time in its history, the MotoE World Cup arrives at the Misano World Circuit for the San Marino Grand Prix. After five rounds, the leader of the MotoE 2022 is Dominique Aegerter ahead of Eric Granado and Matteo Ferrari. The Swiss driver, with three victories so far won, has collected 194, 17.5 more than the Brazilian driver in second position who scored a double in Austria, bringing the number of seasonal victories to five. At the Red Bull Ring, Granado recovered 14 points on the Swiss driver. The two are the only ones left to contend for the title of the MotoE 2022, while Ferrari, Casadei and Pons are now mathematically excluded from the race for victory.
The San Marino GP represents the second match point for Dominique Aegerter to conquer the 2022 title. To win the MotoE World Cup at the end of race 1, on Saturday, Aeger should have more than 25 points ahead of Eric Granado at the finish line; a difficult but not impossible result for the Swiss driver who should win 8 points more than Granado. If it fails to open, the fight will remain and the title of winner of the MotoE 2022 will be awarded in the last race, on Sunday.
Among others there is the challenge between Matteo Ferrari, Miquel Pons and Mattia Casadei for third place in the general classification, and the one between Alex Escrig, Kevin Manfredi and Marc Alcoba for the title of best rookie of 2022.
This is the progression of the two top riders of the MotoE 2022 standings on the eve of the San Marino GP.
