Day 1. Spain in command, Italy in pursuit, English and very close. Individually, the French 6 Days are already celebrating the duel between Josep Garcia, KTM, and Andrea Verona, GasGas.
August 30, 2022
Land Puy-en-VelayHaute-Loire, France, August 29. 541 Drivers from 32 countries. It means, roughly to get everyone in the loop, over 250 kilometers a day for 5 days standing eight hours in the saddle. You don’t really come to the factory but you don’t even come under the umbrella. Motocross Saturday will feel like a party or a walk, except that it is the moment when the tension and adrenaline overflow. The British and Australians are back, who weren’t in the Italian match a year ago. Too bad that both the ones and the others had to rearrange the formation. The British have to do without Brad FreemanAustralians of Wil Ruprechtwhich is a real shame because the 6 days could have represented the Continuation of the furious battle taking place in the World Cup.
S.and Italy, Trophy and Junior, is the nation as a hitter, the driver to beat is Josep Garcia. The KTM officer had already dominated the individual of the Six Days of Rivanazzano beating an incredible, if possible, Andrea Verona. Garcia won 4 of the 5 days of the race, and yet he was only about twenty seconds ahead of Verona. In the World Cup this year, with a test from the end, the positions are abundantly inverted, in the sense that Verona is first and Garcia third. There is one for one dizzying clash, national flag in one hand and the sword in the other, which is already in place. In memory, in 2021 E1 in Verona, E2 in Garcia, E3 in Matteo Cavallo.
And so it begins, with the announced duel that immediately comes to life. Time is beating Josep GarciaThe “Dry”Of KTM sympathetic and relentless on all types of terrain if only the motivation is triggered. And do you want 6 days not to be a perfect detonator? Garcia wins all 5 specials of the first day and installs himself in command of the general. In perfectly synchronous response Andrea Verona, GasGas, offers us an equally impeccable performance, the Italian only a breath slower than the Spaniard over the whole day. At the end of the first day, seen from the point of view of the individuals, Garcia is first and Verona at 23 seconds. The third position of the Swede is a little surprising Mickael PerssonHusqvarna E3, a little less than the sixth of Zaccaria Pichon, Sherco, who is installed at the helm of the Under 23 of the “Vaso d’Argento”. In between and of good comfort, two Englishmen in fourth and fifth place Nathan WhatsonHonda, and Steve HolcombeBeta. Daniel Milnerseventh, is the first Australian, Dante OliveiraKTM, the first American right in front of his compatriot Kailu Russel.
Party in trumpet with Salvini, Husqvarna, the Italians start compact but they slowly slipped from the perfect starting position, alternating in the role of the best of ours before Salvinithen OldratiHonda, finally Bernardini, Honda. At the cash closing on the first day, without prejudice to the absolutely fabulous interpretation of Verona, second overall, Bernardini is 15th, Oldrati 16th, Salvini 23rd.
Quel that matters most to the 6 days of Enduro, however, it is the result of Squad. It is the priceless charm ofOlympiad of Enduro, the emotion that distills adrenaline as if it were orange. At the end of the first day, therefore, Spain is in the lead, which can count not only on the general leadership of Garcia but also on the good performances of Betriu and Sans, Cortes further back. Twenty late, however, here comes more Italians. i guys of Mr. Cristian Rossi they are ahead of the British by a whisker, the United States not far away and the French by now a minute away. Let’s face it piano… the Italians are in command of the Junior Trophy. Morgan LesiardoSherco, 11th, Enrico RinaldiGasGas, 9th, e Claudio Spanu, Honda, 7th, lead the Finns and the English with good authority. Of course, never as in this case can we say that the race is still very long (and in some ways still to be deciphered in the light of the new regulatory standard of exclusion of rejects), however the French Six Days, 96th edition, has started… on the right foot!
