Salzburg starts on September 6th with Milan home game in CL • NEWS.AT
Soccer champions Red Bull Salzburg started the group stage of the Champions League on Tuesday, September 6 (9:00 p.m.) with the home game against AC Milan. The seven-time title holder is also the opponent on November 2 (21.00) in the final of Group E in Milan. This emerges from the match schedule of the premier class published by UEFA on Saturday. On September 8th, Sturm Graz open against Midtjylland and Austria Wien against Hapoel Beer-Sheva, also at home.
After the Milan opener, Salzburg visit Chelsea on September 14 (21.00), before the doubles against Dinamo Zagreb on October 5 (18.45/home) and 11 (21.00/away) follow. The last home game against Chelsea on October 25th will take place at 6.45 p.m.
The six-day group stage round ends ahead of the World Cup in Qatar (November 20-December 18) on November 1st and 2nd. In the new year, the round of 16 games will follow in February and March, and the quarter-finals in April. After the semi-finals until mid-May, the final will take place in Istanbul on June 10th.
UEFA also published the fixture lists for the Europa and Conference Leagues on Saturday.
