Mario Bühler is running for office in Triesenberg as head – Liechtenstein
TRIESENBERG – The former municipal councilor and deputy mayor Mario Bühler would like to make a counter-offer to the current mayor Christoph Beck with his candidacy, as the FBP Triesenberg announced on Friday.
Now the first challenger is known who wants to defy an already incumbent mayor in the 2023 municipal elections – in Triesenberg. There, the former municipal council and deputy mayor as well as the current local group chairman, Mario Bühler, declared himself ready for a candidacy for the candidacy, as the FBP local group in Triesenberg announced on Friday evening: “Mario Bühler would like to make a counter-offer to the Triesenbergers with his candidacy to the existing chairman Christoph Beck.”
The Triesenberg entrepreneur is not unknown and a very political person, as the local group writes. He was politically active at a young age before being elected to the municipal council in 2007.
Mario Bühler was then also a very active municipal councilor for over 10 years, it is said. Even after his active time in the municipal council, he used referendums for popular rights on Triesenberg, for example. The 46-year-old Mario Bühler has been the local group chairman since 2019 – with a lot of commitment, as the FBP Triesenberg emphasizes.
nomination in the fall
Mario Bühler was recently proposed by the local group board for the attention of the local group assembly, i.e. the local group. In the autumn – together with the candidates for the municipal council – the assembly will decide on his nomination.
In 2013 it was wafer thin
The incumbent chairman Christoph Beck (VU) announced in March that he wanted to run again – it would be the 43-year-old’s third term. In 2013, the former member of the state parliament won the race for the presidency by a hair’s breadth against Armin Schädler from the FBP. Only 14 votes made the difference back then. In 2019, Beck was elected unopposed with 75 percent of the vote. With the announcement of the challenger Mario Bühler, things will get exciting again in Triesenberg in March 2023.
