Swedish royals celebrate adorable Prince Alexander’s low-key first day of school | Royal | News
Six-year-old Prince Alexander has started his education at one of the oldest schools in Stockholm.
The prince is the eldest child of Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Phillip, who is the only son of Sweden’s current King Carl XVI Gustaf.
Prince Carl Phillip is fourth in line to the throne, after his eldest sister Crown Princess Victoria, his niece Princess Estelle and nephew Prince Oscar.
Prince Alexander will attend Djurgård School in Stockholm.
It is a small school with only 94 students and has not been a for-profit school since 1993.
Activities the young royals can look forward to at school include theatre, dance, piano, guitar, yoga, gymnastics and basketball.
The school symbol is a peacock because of a peacock running into a school building many years ago.

Princess Estelle is second in line to the throne and made Swedish history by being the first woman born with the right to inherit the throne that cannot be replaced by a male heir.
Her birth also made history as the first child born to a female heir.
The princess performed her first royal duty when she was two years old when she inaugurated a footpath.
This summer, she celebrated Sweden’s national day by wearing Sweden’s national dress, called the Swedish dress.
The Sverigedräkt are folk dresses that were popularized by the current Queen of Sweden, Queen Silvia, who started the royal tradition of wearing them in 1983.
It became Sweden’s official national dress in 2004.
