Norway has received three new F-35 combat aircraft
– Everything is going as planned with the F-35 programme, says Martin Tesli, air wing chief at Ørland air station, in a press release from the Armed Forces.
Each year, Norway receives six new F-35s from the factory at Lockheed Martin in the USA. The first three deliveries for this year arrived late Wednesday evening.
According to the plan, Norway will receive a further three new F-35s this year. Ten of the aircraft are stationed in the United States to train and educate new F-35 pilots. Norway is to buy up to 52 F-35 aircraft. The total purchase price for the planes is estimated at around NOK 90 billion.
