Jovane Cabral renews until 2025
“This is my home and this is where I feel good”
Jovane Cabral renewed his connection to Sporting Clube de Portugal, signing a contract valid until 2025 with a release clause of 60 million euros. At the Club since 2014, the Cape Verdean winger says he is happy with the decision to stay in Alvalade.
“I am really happy. It’s always good to be where we feel good. This is my home and this is where I feel good”, starting by telling Leon media after signing the new contract, adding: “I am treated very well here. I had an experience, but I always wanted to go back. So I’m very happy to have it.”
In the middle of last season, Jovane Cabral played in Italy, at the service of SS Lazio, on the part of Sporting CP, and now returns to Rúben Amorim’s options with the goals of the second long one: “I grew a lot as a man and player. Sometimes we need to take that step to see other realities and learn from other coaches. I’m very happy with my time there, because I learned a lot, and now I’m back to help”.
“I bring the desire to score goals, make assists and help the team wherever the coach asks. I’m totally focused and ready to work”, underlined the player who debuted in the main green and white team on October 12, 2017 in a game of the third round of the Portuguese Cup, against ARC Oleiros, also talking about Rúben Amorim: “There was always a huge one for me and affection me a lot. I am very grateful to work with him, continue to evolve and learn more from him.”
With Leão chest, Jovane Cabral, currently 24 years old, has 97 games and 21 goals scored in the first team, having won a National Championship, a Portuguese Cup, a Super Cup and three League Cups and has the desire to continue to give joys to the Sportinguistas: “I am very happy to be here. We appreciate all the love over these years. I will continue to bring more joy to the fans.”
