HSH Hereditary Prince Alois von und zu Liechtenstein reaffirms support for Ukraine

At the invitation of the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, SD Hereditary Prince Alois took part in the online summit of the Crimea platform on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. He used the attendance to express Liechtenstein’s full support for Ukraine. In total, more than 40 heads of state and government, the President of the EU Commission and the President of the European Council, as well as the Secretaries General of NATO, the OSCE and the Council of Europe took part in the summit.
In his speech, SD Hereditary Prince Alois von und zu Liechtenstein particularly advocated the end of Russian aggression and the A order of the rule-based international. He also condemned the numerous war crimes and crimes against humanity that had begun in Ukraine. In this regard, he expressed his firm belief that those criminally responsible for the aggression against Ukraine must be held accountable on the basis of existing international law.
The summit meeting can be seen as a strong message of unity within like-minded countries. This unity is also reflected in the joint summit declaration, which clearly supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and calls for those responsible for the crimes started to be held accountable. The Crimean Platform aims to peacefully end Russia’s illegal annexation and occupation of Crimea, thereby restoring control of its territory to Ukraine on the basis of international law.
