– The foreign caps are a curse, says Motvind Norge profiler Eivind Salen about the fact that so far this year almost 6 billion kilowatt-hours have been exported from South-West Norway (NO2) to foreign countries, even though the fill rate is a record low.
– The energy stores are empty. The power producers get more money for the water, when there is little left. Throughout the winter, and throughout last year, they have drained to record low levels. Then we have to pay the price of blood for the electricity. This is going to continue because the giant market in England and Germany is insatiable. The system is completely out of control, says Sandnes man Eivind Salen, former manager, now advisor at Motvind Norge.
In all years, the electricity prices in Southern Norway and Northern Norway kept pace. But after the two foreign chapels to Germany and England were opened, prices have separated and skyrocketed in the south.
