The tango theme is one of the most frequently used motifs of the program in Kantor’s work. He appears, inter alia, in the plays “The Water Hen”, “Let the Artists Die” and the cricotage “Where are the Snows of Yesteryear”. In the latter, he builds character and dances on the stage of cardinals; a scene directly referred to by Monika Leisch-Kiesl and Joachim Leisch.
Their “Tango performance” combines all dance (Tango Argentino) and art. Movement corresponds to the content and narrative of the exhibitions relating to the intimate and personal. The performance presented at Cricoteka is a continuation of the “Tango y arte” series started in 2018 in Linz.
Monika Leisch-Kiesl – art historian, philosopher. Professor of History of Art and Aesthetics at the Catholic Private University of Linz. A visiting professor at the entrances in Austria, Germany and Germany. Argentino tango dancer, member of the World Federation of Sports Dance.
Joachim Leisch – Argentine tango dancer. Former member of the World Federation of Sports Dance.
