It’s official: Coldplay will give a concert in Portugal in 2023 – Showbiz
Confirmation came from promoter Everything is New. Coldplay will even give a concert in Portugal in 2023 at Estádio Cidade de Coimbra, on May 17.
The buzz started on Twitter when the band’s new music video, from the theme “Humankind”, premiered and it features images of several of the stadiums where the band will play, including Coimbra. After that, some media will arrive with a news, but official confirmation was lacking.
Tickets will go on sale this Thursday, August 25th at 10:00 am. Ticket prices range from 65 to 150 euros, with the price for the audience being 85 euros.
The last concert by Chris Martin and company in Portugal was in 2012, at Estádio do Dragão, in Porto.
After selling out six nights in a row at Wembley Stadium in London, the band announces more concerts in European stadiums that will host, for the first time, the Music of the Sphere World Tour. Departing in Portugal, the tour continues through Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and Holland, in addition to shows in the United Kingdom in Manchester and Cardiff.
The 100% renewable production of the show in almost all locations, brings with it the first tour generator system in the world, with 40 electric car batteries, with motorized energies and kinetic dance floors, which allows fans to be part of the show, creating through them. The concerts still have solar panels and wind turbines in each show and for every ticket sold, a tree is planted.
