Dennis Schroder misses the World Cup qualifying match against Sweden / News
Dennis Schroder will miss the Euro 2023 match between Sweden and Germany. He will undergo ankle treatment in Germany and is expected to be back in training on August 24.
Dennis Schroder will not travel to Sweden for Euro 2023 and will undergo treatment in Germany, the German Basketball Association officially announced after a final friendly match against Serbia.

Schroder missed the duel in Hamburg due to an ankle injury. The day before, he was injured while playing against the Czech Republic.
As the association writes, Schroder will start training again on Wednesday (August 24) if all goes well.
The Sweden-Germany match is scheduled for August 25, at 18:30 CEST. After this match, Germany take on Slovenia on August 28, at 15:00 CEST.
Schroder’s ankle problem isn’t the only headache for coach Gordon Herbert. Another NBA player Daniel Theis is doubtful to play at EuroBasket 2022. The Indiana Pacers big man will miss the upcoming FIBA window.
After the defeat against Serbia, the federation also announced that Karim Jallow of Ratiopharm Ulm is leaving the German national team. There are currently 13 players left on the roster.
