Almeirim Farms cyclist takes second in Cadet Tour of Portugal
Hector Alvarez (Lucta/Grupo Sime) celebrated the victory of the individual general of the 14th Volta a Portugal de Cadets in Caldas da Rainha, finishing in third place in the stage. The victory in the run went to his teammate, Andreu Lopez, who crossed the line followed by João Anunciação, an athlete from Fazendas who represents Alenquer/GDM/Anipura.
The last stage of the 14th Volta Portugal de Cadets, which linked Santarém to Caldas da Rainha on a course of 80.6 kilometers, had its first attack in A-dos-Francos. The group of three riders, made up of Vincent Juan (Lucta/Grupo Sime), João António and Pedro Cruz (ACD Milha/DriveonHolidays/Mafra), still gained an advantage of around 30 seconds for the peloton. Shortly after, it would be the turn of the overall leader to attack the group and join the trio that followed at the head of the race.
