Number of passengers on the Lisbon and Porto metro stations and on Soflusa grows 89% in July | transport

And it states that “the number of passengers selected until July 2022 represents 76% of the demand registered in the same period of 2019”.
In Metropolitano de Lisboa, for example, the collective transport that moves the most passengers, more than 74 thousand people chose this means of transportation in the city during the month of July 2022, well above the almost 38 thousand who had done so in July 2021. , but distant from the almost 105 thousand who traveled in July 2019, before the covid-19 pandemic, the first cases were announced in March 2020.
The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Action takes the opportunity to recall that millions of euros reinforced public transport in the 2019/2021 triennium, from the Support Program for Public Transport Tariff Reduction (PART), from the Density Support Program and Reinforcement of the Public Transport Offer (Protransp) and extra allocations to maintain the offer during the pandemic.
It also says that in the Budget of 2022222 million euros can reach 138.6 million euros for the PART, to which another 100 million euros can be added “to ensure supply levels (…) taking into account a more adverse effects of the pandemic crisis on the mobility system”, and that Protransp was reinforced with 20 million euros.
